Flying Hawk Motorsports will enter its second year of crate late model
dirt racing in 2011. Lain is coming off of a successful 2009 season
finishing 2nd at Green Valley Speedway in the SMP Open Wheel
Division. Lain was able to bring consistent runs and top fives
throughout the year. FHM hopes the success of 2009 in open wheel
will carry over to the late model racing of 2010! Also, Lain is starting
his 8th year as an instructor with the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure
Driving School. As an instructor he sits right seat with students
driving authentic NASCAR stock cars on various tracks. He enjoys
the instructors’ seat as it enables him to be a part of someone’s
dream of driving a race car on the same track as his or her hero’s. In
addition to college and the driving school, he is also a member of the
Talladega Superspeedway Emergency Services team working track
restoration and has served as a Ford Oval Racing Instructor in
Homestead, FL.
